We are currently working with the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) on a nationwide programme to upgrade 120 Work and Income service centres. There is a strong emphasis on security and transitioning their offices into zones that promotes efficiencies with public interaction, staff safety and the movement of staff between these zones. The programme has involved successful working relationships, with effective communication and collaboration with the key stakeholders and client to ensure buildability and sequencing of the works achieves the desired outcomes. New meeting, seminar and interview rooms have been created, security feature walls constructed, existing services have been altered or upgraded to suit the new layout, emergency lighting installed, and a full redecoration and replacement of furnishings has also been undertaken.

Considerable emphasis is placed on the installation of security and IT equipment using the clients nominated service providers. What makes this project stand out is the relationships that have been formed with NZCA, the MSD, project architects and key suppliers that allows and encourages open and honest conversations to occur and promotes a “make it happen” mindset for all involved.

This project is due to be completed at the end of 2023.
