ABL Milestone reached in Lancaster Park …

ABL are excited to have broken ground on our Design and Build Project at Lancaster Park in Christchurch.

A smooth design process, led by Amalgamated Builders, in partnership with Co-Studio Architects and Quoin Structural Engineers has allowed us to achieve Building Consent and now transition into construction.

Contracting to Christchurch City Council, we are honoured to play a part in the ongoing revitalisation and development of this area with the new Community Centre and Changing Rooms. Following the recent restoration of the Memorial Gates and planting of over 11,000 trees, this next stage will provide sports clubs with a hub for changing, showering and secure spaces for their equipment, along with a community centre available for hire, that can host about 100 people.

We are really enjoying the evolution of this project, with the Council’s delivery team proving easy to work with, and the clarity and openness between all parties to date is allowing us to focus all our energies into achieving the best value and outcome for this design.

The facilities will be used by many clubs, including Lancaster Park Cricket Club and Otautahi Rugby Club.

We look forward to this exciting build continuing to take shape and handing over these fabulous community assets later this year.
